Love, Angeline - Independence Collection

Today I bring you the Independence Collection from Love, Angeline! This three polish glitter bomb collection is sooooo pretty! The combinations are gorgeous. The bases are just a tad bit on the thick side but nothing we can't work with! Sometimes with these heavy glitter bombs a thicker base is good because it's easier for the brush to grab the glitters. I'm in love with these and happy to have them in my collection.

I ♥ USA
Is a light blue crelly base with red hexes, white hearts, and blue stars. Absolutely beautiful! No fishing required! This is one coat over Sinful Colors "Sugar Rush"

FIRE CRACKER
Is a red jelly base with white and silver holo glitters. Great coverage! This is two coats over Nicole by OPI "Please Red-Cycle" although you don't have to wear undies with it. You can get a good opacity with 2-3 coats.

And I thought they would look great together!

LIGHT SHOW
Is a black jelly base with a mix of teal, pink, purple, and silver glitters. This is jaw dropping! So gorgeous! Here is one coat over Colour Gossip "Rumors" with a matte top coat.

And with a glossy top coat.

If you don't love this collection something is wrong with you. Head over to http://loveangeline.bigcartel.com/category/independence and get your hands on this Indepence Collection!

Love, Angeline - Summer Rainbows Collection

The Summer Rainbows collection from Love, Angeline are all solid opaque colors with slight shimmer. Overall with this collection, they are all a bit thick in formula. That is only because they are so highly pigmented but it does make them harder to work with and if you're not careful it they can become bubbly (which is slightly visible in a couple photos). For beginners I see you having a really hard time with these. You have to work quickly and use as little strokes as possible. So now on to the swatches!

GOOD DAY, SUNSHINE
A bright sunny yellow with a subtle shimmer. Can we talk about bright! That's bound to turn some heads!

COLORADO SUNSET
Bit of a copper orange with subtle shimmer. I think this would look gorgeous on dark skin tones!

STRAWBERRY DAIQUIRI
A beautiful strawberry-ish red with subtle shimmer. Coming off more orangey in the photo :/

THE GRASS IS GREENER
A grassy green with subtle shimmer. This was the hardest one to work with. Was the thickest of all of them.

LET'S TAKE A DIP
A gorgeous cobalt blue with subtle shimmer. This would look stunning in the water! I love this one! Just look at it. I can't, I can't.

These are all amazing colors for the summer!! But just beware the formula. Unless you have had some experience with polish and how to work with certain formulas these might not be the best for you.

Jelly Sammy

If you aren't familiar with what a jelly sandwich is, it's when you sandwich glitter in between layers of a jelly polish. I love the combination I've come up with today! I did two coats of Orly "Butterflies" then one coat of Love, Angeline "Enchanted Love" followed by "Love Struck" and then one last coat of Orly "Butterflies". All topped off with a glossy topcoat.

Let me see your jelly sandwich combinations! Tag them with #lusterlacquer on Instagram!

Colour Gossip Swatches

I have some more Colour Gossip swatches for you! Today I bring some dark fall colors! I know I know, summer is just starting but we always have to be a season ahead right? All polishes is 2 coats with topcoat.

First up is...

CITY CHIC (?)
The label was missing but from looking on the website I'm pretty this is City Chic. This does not suit my skin tone at all but it will be good for some nail art.

BACK STABBER
I love the name of this one. And it's gorgeous!

NATURE GIRL
Such a beautiful bold green. Don't have anything like this in my collection. Very pleased with this one.

RUMOR
Such an awesome black! Application was great!

Baby Bump and Zebra

Anybody getting tired of my silver zebra yet? Well, too bad if you are because I love it. Haha. I think I love it so much because it looks classy and not "cheezy". Today I went for something simple and elegant, with Colour Gossip Polish "Baby Bump" and Orly "Dazzle". Then I just added some square rhinestones. I love this look.

Floral Panties

And I don't mean undies! *chuckles* If you thought I meant panties as in 'my unmentionables', then you'd be correct! I always say "inspiration is all around us" and this just goes to show that is very true. This design was inspired by a pair of panties of mine. I would have posted a picture for reference but uh, you can use your imagination :)

All colors used:
China Glase "Secret Peri-wink-le"
Milani "Tip Toe Pink"
Sally Hansen "White On"
10 Professional "Twilight Nights"
OPI "Eurso Euro"

I love how these turned out!! If I wasn't following the pattern exactly I would have added some black dots or stems to the middle of the flowers but I wanted to stay true to the pattern. What do you guys think?
